The New Green Returns

The Green

June 2008

This is such a wonder-filled time of year. Within the delicious spell of the new green world returning, our days are fueled with gratitude.

As our eyes alight on each beautiful scene nature places before us, a cleansing wave of insights wash over us, beginning with gentle surrender into thankfulness.

The more thankful we are, the more accepting, the more connected, the less fearful, the more loving, the more powerfully present we can be. Then as our eyes shift slightly to the next scene, the healing wave of gratitude begins again.

We are being shown how the world around us is filled with energy that is supporting us, and the more we open our hearts, the more we are charged, anchored, and dissolved into the presence of the divine; our future self.

This is the powerful lesson being presented at this time of year. It is particularly important now. We have spoken here before about the acceleration and intensification of our collective healing journeys, and how we have been drawn over the last while to address and let go of patterns that may be hindering our ability to be our authentic selves. For example, many of us have been observing how tired we become in certain situations or in the company of some people. All of us want to be of service to others. The trick is knowing when your energy is not being taken for granted, and that love and gratitude are flowing right back into you. As one woman pointed out recently, “the people we have been carrying energetically, need to be put down” so they can walk the road ahead of them. Rather than draining ourselves needlessly, supporting old patterns, we are being called to become the light of inspiration. It’s simple, and it feels good.

The best part is that the more grateful and loving we are, the more we attract others who are filled with love and gratitude. In just the last few weeks, opportunities to feel the force of love and gratitude have come to me and their healing effects are intoxicating.

One was an experience of Mohammad Eshtehar, who conducts divine group healings (mohammadsoul@rogers.com). I attended a fair, knowing he was going to be there, and having known others who were deeply moved in his presence. Mohammad humbly bridges us to divine love. It was a cool overcast day, but as I rounded the corner of a building a warm and moving scene met my eyes. A circle of people sat quietly facing the center where a patchwork of blankets and pillows filled the space. Within the circle ten or more people lay, eyes closed, many smiling, some vibrating gently, all being attended energetically by helpers that were present. Next I noticed a beautiful Iranian-looking man walk over to a middle-aged country gal and invite her into the circle. They stood gently holding each other as a second man came to stand behind her, and then she suddenly dropped. Both men gently made her comfortable on the blanket with a pillow, and Mohammad held her up-stretched arms and looked up into the heavens. The love on his face was so real, so vast, so unconditional, I immediately started to cry. Soft middle-eastern music drifted across the gathering and I was stunned by the beauty of the scene in front of me.

A hand touched my shoulder and invited me to sit in the circle and visualize pink light. Within the pinkness I found myself rocking from side to side, then I began to swing like a pendulum slowly, centimeter by centimeter, swinging as a pendulum in a full circle of my central core. Just as this quiet movement completed its task Mohammad invited me up. I was filled with stillness, and then found myself supported and prone as waves of warmth and love filled each cell. A gentle shuddering accompanied each intake and exhalation, as my body became a liquid smile. I had no needs left. Even breathing felt like a choice. Bliss.

Two weeks later I can move into that feeling right away. Any movement of my mind or heart away from that feeling is a measure of my own willingness to venture from my authentic self. This is where we all need to be now. Rather than scattering our energies, and thinning ourselves out, it is time to move into a powerfully loving place, and become a channel for that light. It is not selfish; it is what is required. It is why we are here, and it is our birthright.

As summer solstice arrives this month, we are invited to celebrate the Sun itself, making life possible. After all we are carbon atoms; particles of the Sun; children of light. See you outside.
